Brooks Benjamin is a PRCA photographer. He resides in Scottsdale Arizona and calls the Sonoran Desert his home. Traveling throughout the Southwest he covers Rodeo and Team Roping events in the small towns and communities of Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. Brooks has been an avid photographer his entire life. When a job change relocated him to Scottsdale he was immediately drawn to the western lifestyle and rich cowboy history of the region.
To Brooks the sport of Rodeo reflects a precious time capsule of Americana that must be preserved. With that as his inspiration, promoting the sport by capturing the drama, danger and excitement, then sharing that with others is his passion. What most excites Brooks about Rodeo Photography is freezing the action to reveal the skill of the cowboy and the beauty and strength of the animal. He often shares with folks that you can watch a rodeo and see the excitement but it’s not until you freeze the action that the beauty and drama shows through.
Brooks work has been featured in Working Ranch Magazine
